Portrait Ideas and What to Wear Guide

Where can we go and what should we wear? That is always where our conversations lead to after setting up an appointment. I hope this guide helps you have a better understanding of what I currently have available and then we can tweak your session to truly meet your needs and provide you with images that are unparalled from any other.

Places, what they offer in scenery, and clothing ideas for each:

1. Botanical Gardens - Elegant backgrounds with gates, water features and water falls, bridges, columns and many other garden accents. Great for the classic portraits where all white is worn by the subject. Also available is the Japanese Garden at Botanical with a more contemporary style where bright, fun clothing is appropriate.

2. Aldridge Gardens - Large lake scenery, bridges, benches, and covered pavilion are available for your session. Contemporary clothing which includes bright colors or traditional classic style are both appropriate for this location.

3. Open Fields and Woods - This style is also available at various locations for your session. Ideas include a classic tea party or picnic scene for your little
girl(s), Radio flyer tricycle for your little boy, antique tractor and farm scenery, Also available is a pond for a fishing scene. I plan to have samples posted here soon for you to see.

4. Personal Touch - Sessions taken at your home (inside or outside) so that your personal surroundings accent your pictures. This style is great for newborns and maternity pictures to serve as the background of the picture. What's more personal and meaningful than beautiful portraits of you and your newborn in their newly decorated nursery? (Flexibility on your part when rearranging a few things is always a plus!) Black and white backdrops are also currently available and can be used in places with lots of natural light (windowlight).

5. Playground Fun - What's more fun than capturing your child at play and having brightly colored images of who your child's true personality?

6. Business Black and Whites - Great for upclose and personal shots of you and/or your employees. These are great for webpages and company brochures. Great package rates available!

7. High School Seniors - I offer non-traditional portraits on location for seniors. I love to capture seniors in a couple of clothing styles. Its always fun to include things they are interested in such as sports memorabilia, musical instruments, hobbies, etc. Many more ideas available - please contact me!

8. Team Pictures and Packages - Currently available for smaller groups such as dance teams, cheer squads, other teams. Samples available for viewing when you contact me. (Not available for hundreds of kids at one time.)
